Coach Wendy was introduced to archery in her backyard when her father pulled a bow out of the garage and let her shoot a few arrows. Later in college, she would enroll in an archery class and shot at the top of the class for all four semesters. After a hiatus, she rediscovered the sport when her daughters began taking lessons. Coach Wendy shoots recurve, barebow, and compound. She doesn't have much time to compete, but has earned 1st place Ann Hoyt Medal Overall, 2nd place Clout, 3rd place American, and Hereford Most Hits in Traditional Recurve Female at the 2018 Traditional Archery Championships. Her coaching methodology focuses on a holistic approach, including mental management, extending the lessons that archery teaches into life, and most importantly, helping students find their personal niche in the sport while having fun.
Coach Wendy has experience with all levels of athletes--from first time archers to podium finishes and athletes on the USAT team. She also enjoys assisting and educating archers at tournaments as a judge. Her ultimate passion is to help her students achieve their goals and find joy and passion for the sport.
